Scholarship Spotlight: Jonathan (Cacahuatal)

Age: 15 years old

How do you feel about having a scholarship?

I feel very happy to have a scholarship because not just anybody can have one. For that reason, I feel very content.

Before the scholarship, was it easy or hard to study?

I think that before it was a little bit hard because sometimes my mom or my aunt didn’t have money to give me. At my school, I have to buy booklets or if there is an event, they always ask us to contribute money and also to buy a snack.

How and in what [ways] has your life changed because of having a scholarship?

The scholarship has changed my life a lot because I am closer to achieving my dreams and therefore, I think that the scholarship has changed my life and I am going to fight to not lose it.
